My background in design is very diverse. I began my career  with Toshiba America in 1987. Back then, Print Media and Video were the marketing mediums of the day.

In 1993, I accepted the position as Art Director for SuperPrinters. During my tenure, I  learned virtually every aspect of the print industry. As a designer, this insight has proven to be invaluable.

As a Pre-Press Print Designer, I have designed Business Stationary, Forms, Folders, Tickets, Playing Cards, Ad Layouts, Publications, Catalogs, Books, Product Packaging, CD Covers, Clothing Labels, Screen Printed Artwork, Posters, Concert Scrims, Signs, and even Billboards. Some of the highlights include: IHRA Drag Review Magazine, UT Lady Vols Basketball Program, Homes Magazine, Packaging design for TSINGTAO Beer, Mounton Cadet, and Fancy Dance. My ads have appeared in People Magazine, Money, Forbes, Car & Driver, Field & Stream, Reader’s Digest, TV Guide and a variety of other publications.

In 1995, I accepted a position as Video Production Director for Time WarnerI  designed video advertising spots for Video Marketplace, as well as, designed and launched new advertising channels such as the Marriott Channel at Marriott Meadow View Conference Center, Smoky Mountain Marketplace in Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain Connection in Pigeon Forge, Showcase 12 in Farragut and Showcase 20 in Crossville.

During the mid 1990’s, the Digital Revolution began and the world wide web was born. It was then that my career diversified into Animation, and Web Design. I was fortunate to have been able to play a small role in helping the web evolve into the dynamic marketing world we know today.

In 1997, I accepted the position of Webmaster for Charter Communications. As a Web Designer, I have designed over two hundred websites. During the infancy of the web, content ranged from basic HTML, CSS, Gif Animations, Flash Animations and Javascript. Often, changes made to a website were made in notepad. The web  rapidly evolved to slightly more complex components such as MySQL, ASP, DHTML, XHTML, and XSLT. In today’s world wide web, we are utilizing  HTML5, CSS3, JSP, XML, PHP, jQuery, as well as, content management systems such as Joomla, Drupal, and now WordPress. I am very excited about the future of the web!

In 2010, I accepted a position as E-Commerce Director in the Automotive Industry. I was responsible for implementing and optimizing dealership infrastructures. as well as, the Marketing Manager  for Mazda, Nissan, Suzuki, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. It was a rewarding experience.

As I matured in life, giving back to the community became very important to me. I have donated my professional time to a variety of non-profit organizations such as: Kingsport Chamber of Commerce, Kingsport Convention & Visitors Bureau, Downtown Kingsport Association, Goodwill Industries, The United Way, CASA, The Junior League of Kingsport, Girls Incorporated, and Long Term Care Ombudsman of Northeast Tennessee.

Soccer is also my lifelong passion. After retiring as a player, I wanted to continue to give back to the game. I have participated as Staff Coach for FC Dallas Tri • Girls Academy Director and Coach for Fusion Futbol Club • Tournament Director, Skills Trainer and Coach for Sullivan County Soccer Association • Skills Trainer and Coach for East Tennessee Soccer Federation • Training Advisor for Highlands Soccer Association •  Coach for Kingsport Youth Soccer Association. It has truly been a labor of love.
